Iranian Akbari pistachios is the longest one (has the highest shape index and is almond-shaped) among other varieties, so it is called the super long pistachio. Akbari pistachios is very easy to open, plus has the darkest skin between the others. It is the oldest, the most favorable and commercial type of pistachio harvested in Iran and has the highest economic value.
